US & Israel Plan Massive Ground Operation Into Iran — The World Has NO IDEA What’s Coming 


Erbil/Iraq, 26 March – The United States and Israel are reportedly preparing to position nearly 12,000 elite troops for a possible ground operation in Iran, according to a widely circulated social media post that has sent shockwaves through diplomatic and security circles.

The purported deployment, which War (@warsurv) said late Thursday was being financed by Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Kuwait, has not been confirmed by U.S. or Israeli officials. Reuters could not independently verify the figures or strategic plans referenced in the post.

The circulating account alleges that U.S. and Israeli forces are readying what many analysts describe as an extremely high‑risk mission against one of the region’s most formidable militaries, warning of “overwhelming challenges and slim chances of success.” The post said Iran, with a large active army and paramilitary force, could marshal manpower approaching 2 million personnel in total in defence.

In recent days, U.S. military and political sources have publicly acknowledged preparations to expand American forces in the region, including discussions about deploying additional elements of the Army’s 82nd Airborne Division to the Middle East, but have stopped short of saying troops will enter Iran. Pentagon planners have developed contingency options for ground force use should President Donald Trump order it, though no final policy decision has been announced.

“We are weighing all options,” a senior Pentagon official said on condition of anonymity, adding that preparations are intended to give commanders flexibility rather than signal an imminent invasion. White House spokespeople have reiterated that no deployment orders have been signed for operations inside Iran.

The idea of a ground offensive against Tehran has been met with scepticism among defence analysts. Iran’s sprawling geography, deep defensive infrastructure and large reserve forces make a sustained ground campaign exceptionally costly and complex, some experts say.

A senior geopolitical analyst in Washington, speaking on condition of anonymity, described the notion of committing U.S. and allied forces to seize ground inside Iran as “dangerously close to a suicidal mission,” citing Tehran’s manpower and strategic depth.

Iran’s government has dismissed rumours of a looming invasion, reiterating that any foreign boots on Iranian soil would be met with fierce resistance. Tehran also continues to deny that ceasefire negotiations are underway, despite conflicting signals from Washington.

The conflict between the two regional foes escalated sharply in late February when U.S. and Israeli airstrikes targeted Iranian infrastructure, triggering reciprocal missile and drone attacks. The situation has drawn in neighbouring states and driven global oil markets into turmoil due to instability around the Strait of Hormuz, a critical maritime chokepoint.
